Bivacco Viaggi is a tour operator and web-agency specializing in outdoor activities. Their specialties are walking and trekking tours as well as cycling tours, either guided or self-guided. Tours are mainly carried out in small groups and according to the concept of Responsible, Active, Slow, Sustainable Tourism.

They care about the environmental sustainability of their actions as a whole: approaching the journey with criteria that make their actions sustainable is a necessity that they have learned while traveling. This is why they felt the need to share their sustainability criteria with others and, in 2020, decided to join the foundation of Active Italy – promoting travel styles and lifestyles that respect the environment. Since 2021 they have also begun to follow the engagement criteria established by Travelife, according to a process of obtaining, maintaining and improving the environmental certification of their activities. 

With the First Mile project, they decided to test solutions to improve sustainability in the following areas:

  • Promotion of green mobility
  • Improvement of visitor flow management
