Our participants

Let us introduce you to the 80 tourism SMEs (small and medium enterprises) selected to participate in the First Mile Project! Coming together from four different countries, these motivated tourism SMEs are embarking on this project to test behavior-smart solutions for increased sustainability.

Selection process

The 80 participating SMEs were selected following an open call from October 23rd to December 22nd  2023.

In total, we received 171 applications:

        • France: 49
        • Italy: 50
        • Norway: 38
        • Slovenia: 34

Once the call was closed, the project consortium started the selection process, which included the following steps:

        • Verification of the eligibility criteria
        • Selection on a ‘First Come – First Served’ basis

On the 31st of January 2024, 20 SMEs in each of the participating countries were selected.
