Skaland Camping AS 🇳🇴

Skaland Camping AS is located on the west coast of Senja and they offer pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents.

Since the start in 2019, they have gone from approximately 900 guest nights to over 4,200 guest nights in 2023. With an increase in the number of guests, the challenges also becomes clearer, such as intuitive and environmentally friendly waste management, which makes guests aware of and encourages waste sorting.

It is therefore an honor for Skaland Camping to, through The First Mile Project, be able to help develop systems for waste management that contribute to camping guests both in Norway and Europe becoming more knowledgeable about waste management and making the most sustainable choices.

With the First Mile Project, they decided to:

- Improve waste management and encourage “Leave no trace” behavior
